Thank you for your interest in this exciting role at West Midlands Employers (WME). It goes without saying, it has been a challenging but very rewarding year at WME, as we have supported Councils across the region in response to the pandemic. Our aim has never been more meaningful or important than right now.

Our mission at WME is to work collaboratively with our Local Government clients to deliver a stronger and more developed workforce. Local Government is in a continual state of change and development and we work to make sure that staff have the relevant skills and knowledge to provide the very best public services to communities across the region.

Who We Are
West Midlands Employers (WME) is the Regional Employers Organisation offering a range of services aimed at Local Councils and the wider Public Sector to support performance improvement at both an individual and organisational level. We are all about ‘people and leadership solutions’ helping our diverse client base make the best use of their greatest resource – their people. We are a small team of highly experienced individuals striving to provide a responsive and flexible service.
Our services are framed around the employee life cycle and organisational journey, from providing ‘advisory, representative and coordinating roles as an employers organisation’ through to a wide range of Consultancy support and commercially focused products and services spanning many aspects of HR, OD and Leadership. We are committed to supporting an ambitious West Midlands region and we recognise that every ambition, change, or service delivered by our Public Sector organisations involves people – they are our biggest resource and our biggest source of potential for innovation and transformation.
Working at WME
Whilst we may have missed the physical “get togethers” and planned away days, which we tend to hold regularly throughout the year, it hasn’t stopped us from getting together “virtually”. From Christmas Quizzes, Lunch & Learn, to Thirsty Thursday’s, we’ve stayed connected to help support one another both professionally and personally.
We also have NEW offices, based in Willenhall which will become our collaboration space for teams to get together when they need to. WME hold numerous conferences and events, usually hosted in Central Birmingham but currently held virtually which you will be an integral part of, including sourcing the very best speakers to showcase learning and innovation to help the sector develop and grow.
